On Saturday, Heath Ledger's friends and family bid the actor a final farewell in his native Australia. Following the private funeral and wake, mourners -- including Heath's ex-girlfriend Michelle Williams -- jumped into the waters at Cottesloe Beach and watched the sun set for one final, smile-filled send-off. Cottesloe was one of the late actor's favorite hangouts.


Amy Winehouse emerged from the dentist's office Saturday showing off her brand new crown. The British singer was slated to perform at Sunday's Grammy Awards (where she is nominated for six awards), but her visa was denied, only to be approved too late. Instead, Winehouse will perform live via satellite from her native U.K.


Aretha Franklin was honored on Friday as the 2008 MusiCares Person Of The Year. The Queen of Soul, who is afraid of flying, joked that it took so long to drive to the gala that she finally may overcome her fears.


Timbaland created a ruckus at an event thrown in his honor Friday night. The rapper reportedly delivered an expletive-laden tirade against People magazine after some of his guests were left outside of the venue. The event was supposed to celebrate Timbaland's deal with Verizon Wireless, who co-sponsored the event with People.


Victoria Beckham flashed a rare smile during the 'Project Runway' Season 4 Fall 2008 fashion show on Friday. Posh sat alongside regular judges Nina Garcia (not pictured), Michael Kors (left), and Heidi Klum (right). Although only three designers made the finals of the popular reality show, five collections were shown to prevent viewers from being spoiled.


Madonna hosted a star-studded, Gucci-sponsored event on Thursday to benefit UNICEF and aid Malawi orphans. The singer-turned-activist adopted a son from the African nation last year. Her daughter Lourdes (right) joined her at the fete, as well as friends Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise, and Rosie O'Donnell.

On Wednesday, Britney Spears was released from a UCLA hospital psychiatric ward after just four days of what was supposed to be a 14-day stay. Afterwards, the troubled pop star joined paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib for a joyride through Los Angeles before reportedly meeting up with her parents. Britney's father Jamie took conservatorship of his daugther and her estate last week, while her mother Lynne succesfully applied for a restraining order against manager Sam Lutfi, who Lynne claims drugged Britney and mishandled finances.


Newlyweds Katharine McPhee and Nick Cokas were spotted enjoying their Hawaiian honeymoon on Wednesday. The 'American Idol' has shrugged off the 19-year age difference between her husband and herself, saying older men are 'less about themselves and more about you.'


On Tuesday, new parents Joel Madden and Nicole Richie picked up some eco-friendly diapers at Whole Foods for their baby girl, Harlow Winter.


Christina Aguilera made her first major public appearance since giving birth, promoting her new 'Back to Basics: Live and Down Under' DVD Tuesday in West Hollywood. The new mom revealed that motherhood has inspired her to return to the recording studio.
